It may seem obvious that the Catholic Mass is based on Jesus’ “Last Supper” with his disciples. Yes, but it is ALSO based on so much more, so many other biblical events and texts, from both the Old and New Testaments. Learning more about its biblical background will help us understand, appreciate, and experience more fully each Mass in which we participate.
