Many people, particularly during Lent, feel the pressure to be perfect in their faith journey. Theologically, this pursuit of perfection can be reframed as a call to holiness, but it’s important to recognize that holiness is not about being flawless but about growing in love and grace. Psychologically, perfectionism often leads to stress, burnout, and feelings of inadequacy. This presentation explores how Lent invites participants to let go of the burden of perfectionism and embrace spiritual progress over perfection, encouraging self-compassion and reliance on God’s grace in the process.
