Acedia: An Ancient Vice in Modern Disguise

If you asked a Desert Father which vice was the worst of them all, acedia would have been high on his list. And yet most people today have never even heard of it. This talk will first unpack what acedia is (Is it the same as sloth? depression? something else?) and then look at the ways this ancient monastic vice might be creeping into your life and what to do about it.
