earned his Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from Yale University, and taught for many years at Loyola Marymount University, the University of San Francisco, Santa Clara University, and the Loyola Institute for Spirituality in Orange. He currently works in the Diaconate Formation program of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
